Client: Alvin H. Butz
Architect: Sink Combs Dethlefs Designers / USA Architects
Project Info
The City of Allentown and the State of Pennsylvania passed a law creating a NIZ tax zone which spurred a significant comeback for the city of Allentown. This major development included a hockey arena as the new home of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (Philadelphia Flyers farm team), a new office building for Lehigh Valley Hospital, and a high-end Renaissance Hotel operated by Marriott. The three projects all used prefabricated brick, metal, and EIFS panels on the facades to give a cohesive look to this downtown city development.
